Tim has been appointed as a professor of cello at the senior Guidhall School of Music and Drama. Since September 2011 he has been Cello tutor at the Junior Guidhall School of Music and Drama.

For the second year running Tim has been promoted by the Countess of Munster Trust's Recital Scheme. This means that Tim and his pianist will be sponsored to play at Music Clubs and Music Societies around the country for the 2011-12 seasons.

Tim has made several trips to Glasgow where he was invited to be Guest Principal Cello of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.

Tim's first Wigmore Hall rectial on 22 November 2010 was well-received by a packed hall.

"... the evening belonged to ‘cellist Tim Lowe, who gave a passionate and energetic performance of Schumann’s Adagio and Allegro in A-flat, and also held the audience’s attention for the entirety of Brahms’ Trio in A minor for piano, clarinet and cello. Displaying remarkable agility, emotional maturity and an assertive sound, he absorbed himself entirely in the music and drew the entire audience in with him. A versatile, impressive and captivating performer who responded extremely well to the audience, he was an absolute joy to watch."

In January 2011 Tim, with his pianist James Ballieu, won the Kirckman Concert Society prize and as a result is looking forward to a full Wigmore Hall recital with James in February 2012 (see below).

In February 2011 Tim won the Tillett Trust 'Young Artists' Platform' prize which will take him to concert venues all round the UK , including the Wigmore Hall.
